Getting a perm with short hair?

hi, i was thinking of perming my hair but i am debating abit, the reasons are as follows: 1. my hair is just above my sholder length and not sure how short its going to be after the perm, 2. my face is roundish not sure whether it will suit me or not. I am new to this perm and my hair is naturally or shall i say used to be naturally curly and since i had it cut shorter its not as curly more like wavy and frizzy... when i see girls with curly hair it looks really nice and makes me think may be i should get one so my question is do you think itll look good with my hair length? how short is it going to shrink to once the perms are in? what types of perms is there? any hair advice?

it wouldn't look good

cuz once you got your perm your hair will shrink to you mid-neck part or just below your chin.

and it wouldn't suit your facial structure.

if you grow your hair out like 2 or 3 inches past your shoulders than the perm will be fine and it'll look good

do not get a perm with short hair and by the way dont get it with long hair either just dont get one you should just curl it!!!

Maybe go to see your hairdresser and ask them. They will know whether it will suit your or not, or at least they should know.

i just know that theres a straight perm and a curly perm....i dont know, but if you have short hair then i think you should just curl it, but it wouldnt really look nice when you have shorter hair...wait until you grow your hair

I think if you have short hair and you have a perm u'l have a mega afro thing going on unless you want that go ahed but i don't think that would be the best thing as you have a round face. I'd stick to maybe just curling your hair.

Bad idea!!! since your hair is short you might look like bozo the clown. how ever if you really have your heart set on it try a water perm first it wont look exactly like the real deal but you'll get a pretty good idea.

and their is a large change that you hair can fall out if it is not done right.

their are alot i suggest a spiral since thats the most common and it will make it shrink less

Perming is quite a drastic chemical process, so you will have to be very sure before you do this.

There are many different types of perms, so visit your hairdresser for advice. She/he may suggest a very light wave, and they may be able to set your hair in normal rollers to give you an idea of whether or not you will suit curly hair.

You could get some of your friends together and have a 'girly' night of styling hair...you'd have fun while you learn!

Don't get a perm. I think you should just curl it. Your hair could possible fall out.
