i have exactly the features u described . (oval face, wavy brown hair tht can get frizzy) and i cut my hair layered to the middle of my neck. i got many compliments. so my answer is yes cut it. But about the black no dont dye your hair black. in my opinion brown hair is the best :)

well its hard to answer this w/o seeing a picture of your face, because short hair works for some, but it looks bad on others.

You'll have hell getting it out unless you know exactly what products to use or an amazing stylist who can take it out.

As for the cut, I hope you have a nicely angled face. Short cuts look awful on people who have even the slightest bit of fat on their face.

Maybe ask your stylist what she thinks after all thats what they are there for. Tell her what your looking for and you can both decide something together. About the black hair color. try usuing a semi permanent first and see if you like it. Because if you dont you cannot get it out unless you bleach it out(very damaging)Hope this helps !

the cut sounds extrememly cute. but the black sounds a little harsh. you could try to color it a darker, choclateier (sp?) brown.

i recently got my hair cut for locks of love and it is really short. but i play soccer so i am glad that i don't have layers. if you play sports and you are planning on cutting your hair short do not get layers because that just makes it harder to put your hair up in a pony tail or to keep it out of your face. I dont think that you should dye your hair black. It is unhealthy and may look really unatural.

Wow sounds just like me! I have an oval face too, and with having long hair almost all my life short hair was GREAT! I just recently died mine a very very dark brown, almost black. It depends on your skin tone. If you have very light skin and you want to look goth/emo then go for it. Or if you have dark skin black would be okay too. But, I would suggest a dark brown if you have tanish skin.

I just got mine cut, a tad bit longer than what your saying. I asctually got it razared, which was very pleasing because I was afraid that with short hair it would POOF at the bottom like a lot of other people I know hes had happen. But by getting it razared it thinned it out at the bottom so my hair was sleek after I straighten it.

The lady at the salon said that layering wouldn't look too good with hard short so she suggested razoring and I LOVE it. Hope that helps! =]]
